A Bit About Me

I am a computational biologist with a deep fascination for the unfathomable world of viruses and other microbes. Currently, I am a postdoc researcher in the Evolutionary Genomics of RNA Viruses Unit at the Institut Pasteur, Paris.

My works lies at the intersection of virology, metagenomics and computational biology. I develop analytic tools and large-scale workflows to unveil the hidden diversity of global viroshpere, the so-called viral "dark matter", and to decipher the complex interactions between viruses and their hosts across ecosystems and evolutionary time.

At heart, I’m driven by a desire to explore what lies beyond the boundaries of known biology. I believe that viruses, as both ancient and innovative biological entities, hold profound clues about the origins of life, the evolution of genomes, and the ecological dynamics of health and disease. Through computational discovery and collaborative science, I aim to bring this invisible frontier into the light.
